Subject: enjoyable for a 70's t.v movie
No award winner, but enjoyable if taken for what it is.
Perhaps if it had been made for the big screen, and had a bit more money spend it could have gone to cult status.Still all in all taken in context of the time it was made,Solid acting, some dialog a bit hammey, and the pace a little slow in the middle ( but that's how movies were back then) not bad. Even the Werewolf makeup wasn't bad considering there was no c.g.i, and no big money spent on special effects back then.

Subject: Academy Award
This movie is as good as many Werewolf flicks I have seen, and BETTER than most. Excellent TV fare for THE TIME. Very few movies are academy award quality, come to think of it most Academy Award winning movies are't very good either. I gave this 4 star movie 5 stars to counter the senseless (and misleading) 1 star rating.

Subject: @dr gangrene
dr gangrene believes that I put my name in the lower right third of this video and I most definitely did not. I believe what this user is referring to is the [CC] in the corner. This is a feature of Flowplayer. The [CC] is for closed captions. I assure you that if you download the video there will be no watermark.

Sorry for your negative experience.

Good movie but this user stuck his name on the right lower third of the film. It is a public domain film, why ruin it like that? There is another version of this film - avoid this one and grab the other.

Subject: good for its time
O.k so the make up and special effects, are not exactly mind blowing.

Admittedly some of the dialogue, and acting would never win awards.Yes the pace sometimes slows down, but that's how movies were made then (when people had an attention span of more than 5 seconds).

For it's time,(1972) budget, and the fact it was a "made for T.V" movie, not bad.

Subject: Lame Wolf
It's a TV movie, obviously, although I don't recall seeing it. David Janssen gives a yeoman's performance, as expected. More melodrama than action, the movie fails weakly at the end.
"Look-a-rook" is a bit overplayed, and the revelation of it's meaning is really anti-climactic. Okay if you don't have much else to watch.
